Saturday, May 30, 2009 Y 2:31 PM Went for Huamin's 20th anniversary dinner yesterday. Met up with 9 other ex-classmates of mine. I guess the $20 bucks spent was ok. The performances were awfully boring though. but its not like we were paying attention anyways. i guess the poor sound system just put everyone off. Anyhoo, our table decided to play table games to pass the time. We played one of those lame games like fuzzy wuzzy. Hahhaaa. but it was fun lah to guess and figure out the link between the items you will "bring to the party" (which was the game) Hmm granted it was kinda awkward at first. but i guess the games acted as an ice breaker to warm everyone up. It was nice seeing everyone again, even the teachers. I think it made the teachers feel kinda old now tt the guys are in NS and we were all going to Uni. After the dinner we decided to head to Safra to chill and talk. it would have been great to see the whole class once more but still, the company was great so its fine. We've has totally screwed the environment lah! and still we choose not to repent and mend our ways! i mean come on people! It is scary when i found out that a few people who either got similar or some even better scores not making it to FASS. It doesn't feel like a year. seems like eons ago. i went there not expecting much but i was so wrong. made tons of friends, (and an extreme dislike [once again the milder version] for the tour guide) learnt so much more then textbooks can ever explain, and basically had so much fun. I never imagined growing close to a bunch of people so fast. And all the fake studying to please the teachers. lol. opening books in the bus but putting on my shades and mp3 and looking out the window. gossiping. playing cards. and watching the movies in the bus. That perv tour guide of ours kept playing inappropriate movies lah (ie movies with sex scenes! on a school trip! like hello! so dense!) So i guess the only sucky part bout the trip was mucus (the tour guide)
To Deutschlanders: (as they call themselves. it was not my idea. lol ) Y'all are fantastic! you made the trip a memorable and great! To the J1s (then): work hard. play hard and study hard. She got an early present because she kept pestering my mom to get her a phone so that was her present. Still we had a celebration. hahaha. and miss lil sis sorta demanded for an ice cream cake so we got for her a blackforest ice cream cake from Swensons. Its delish! We (as in my mom and i) also redeemed some kuehs from Bengawan solo.
I made for her this awesomely pretty card and Nabil made for her a relatively pretty card. (emphasis on the word relatively.He's a boy for one but you gotta give him credit cuz he put in a lot of effort into making the card.) Ps HAPPY BIRTHDAY NATALIA (I'm pretty sure you will read this so there.) and ooh her friends from school gave her super nice presents and cards. I got kinda envious. hahaha. lame i know but i cant help it. new things always make me go green eyed. nasty habit tt i must kick. (: (: (: Thursday, May 28, 2009 Y 10:41 PM Wednesday, May 27, 2009 Y 8:09 PM Loads of people have been asking me, "So whaddaya want to do after uni?" The thing is I've been thinking about it and I realised that i have no clue. I honestly have no clue. and this is absolutely frightening, being aimless that is. I have always been a person who has a goal and slowly I work towards my goal, be it a long term one or short term goal. I guess the excessive break I've been enjoying is rotting my brain away and i hate it! I know what you people will tell me to do, especially HG, go find a job. I don't think a job will help me refocus and find that elusive "what i want to do in life" epiphany. In fact i think the only way for my brain to reboot is to go back to school. And i know how ridiculous my next statement is gonna sound but i actually miss going to school. I mean the whole process of wearing a uniform (although i hated wearing it), complaining about schoolwork and rushing through assignments etc. It must be the living on a day by day basis that irks me. It was fun at first, no doubt about that. the new found freedom of not having to wake up in the wee hours of the morning and to stress about an upcoming test or exam etc. but now its getting plain ol' tiresome. i do realise how ungrateful and silly i sound. missing school? i never thought the day would come. who'd knew? Plus I need to start thinking about my near future. like seriously think. Hmm, why did i bring up this matter? i followed my mom to Nabil's parent meeting session earlier on (I'm gonna digress for a while) I'm quite proud of the improvement he has made from CA (since i practically had to be his personal tutor for every subject besides Malay). Improved English by abt 15-20 marks and maths he was 3rd in class.*beams* Anyhoo while I was there the teachers, who found out that i was partially responsible for Nabil's marked improvement (ahem), asked me what i wanted to do. I told her that i didn't know but i am positive that i did not want to be a teacher. that got a few laughs from them. She told me that her daughter said the exact same thing. If this is case, the gov has a major issue to on their plate. Hmm we all know then that if locals do not want to be teachers, we have to resort to hiring foreigners. This would then spark off the whole local vs foreign war that has been going on since forever. but can we blame them for hiring foreigners when we are not up to the challenge? gosh i realise how much i digressed. ugh Miss su would be so disappointed. lol. hahahaha. So now I'm wondering what I'll do to fritter my remaining 2 months before starting school. I have enjoyed the long break but i have to seriously find something constructive to do. I was thinking maybe dressmaking. Since it will be super cool learning how to make clothes. Hmm. i really do need to stimulate my neurons or they'll lose all the connections they've made over time. I tell you Yap Jia En, you work too hard! Come on babe! you're only 18! let your hair down and stop being a workaholic at your age! So we lunched at Swensons and did a lot of reminiscing and bitching and complaining. She had the Chili crab pasta and I, the seafood lasagna. Both were satisfactory, in fact i liked the lasagne's creamy spinach sauce a lot! Hahaha. We also ordered root beer floats and shared a Frosted Choc Malt ice cream (though we barely ate it, just greedy i suppose ;P) She had to finish her presentation due on Wed so she left after lunch. I then met up with Anje and Drina. Followed Anje to SIM where she was applying to. I was like whoa! $65 for registration only! Hmm the building was kinda cool but I didn't like the smokers loitering near the bus stop. ugh. We then headed to Queenstown Shopping Centre. Drina needed to get her Cheer outfit done. Plus i visited the Crocs shop. I bought 2 ginormous flower jibbitzs with a gem in the centre. Its so pretty lah! I must go back there again! The shoes selection at QSC was amazing! We left at ard 6.30 cuz Anje had tutoring to do.Getting home was a bitch. Actually today's transportation was awful. Long story. But in all i had a great time! can't wait to meet them again!  My pretty pouch! I LOVE IT!!! Sunday, May 24, 2009 Y 12:59 PM I finally met up with Nikki yst. Gawd i forgot how well we click. its like meeting with someone can just talk for hours and hours. Since we havent met in ages, we did a lot of catching up at Starbucks before having a super late lunch. That poor girl should not keep bottling up her feelings. And man oh man does she bottle up a lot of stuff. Ps darl: I cant wait to meet again. She brought me to Muji and what on earth have i been missing out! its a fantastic place and i am so going there again! I promised to take her to places other than town which is practically her playground. but honestly darl, you need to go to other places! lol.
darn it i need to go to Nus tmr for the medical checkup thing which i have been postponing for a long time. I hate going to the doctors. ugh i think im going to be one of those ppl who would refuse to go to the doctors even if im like sick. hahahahaha. nasty habit. i know. oh wells. till next time, Au revoir! Saturday, May 23, 2009 Y 8:44 AM WARNING: CONTROVERSIAL TOPIC AHEAD! Crocs- Love them or Hate them? hahahahaha. gotcha with the heading didn't I? lol! So anyhoo my crazy love for Crocs is growing by the minute. I know I'm supposed to hate them but i can't help it they are adorable! Went for the Crocs sale yesterday with Nabil since he wanted to get a pair too. As usual the place was packed but not as packed as the previous sale. The one then was insane! Bought 6 pairs this time (: I also got a croc o-dial in purple and I LOVE/ ADORE it!!! croc o-dial is a phone and card pouch. PS: notice the cute pun? hahaha. Plus you can decorate it with jibbitz (my current favouritedest thing) as usual and i adorned mine with an Ariel Jibbitz. It is awesome! Bought for myself an Army Green Mary Jane (M.J) and Chocolate Primas. Nabil bought a Mickey Skater Crocs in Black and Red that is so cool!!! Natalia a Pink Mickey M.J and of course not forgetting jibbitz. they both decorated theirs with 4 jibbitz each. (You have to get the jibbitz on your own) I also bought the original Beach Crocs in Orange for my Dad's friend and a Black Celeste for my mom's friend. Thursday, May 21, 2009 Y 8:17 PM Anje is a godsend to me! Love ya babe! Her and her computer pro-ness saves me from tonnes of trouble. i asked her how i can create a photo collage on the laptop and she asked me try out Picasa and all i can say is wow! with a click of a button it made for me a beautiful collage. Thanks so much darl!

OMG! Kris Allen won AI season 8. I am so so happy!!! I predicted correctly once again. I mean i like Adam, but he was given preferential treatment (which i detest and abhor!) throughout the season. he had special lighting during his performances, smoke effect and judges singing praises of him all the time. i mean holy cow look at his finale performance with Kiss. the producers prolly thought that he would have won 100%. Kris on the other hand had to win America over with his adorable looks and his singing without the special effects. And the judges were so condescending and disdainful after his final performance which prolly made his fans plus other outed AI contestants fans ie: Danny fans to vote for him instead of Adam. In any case i was so delighted to find out that Kris won because though Adam has the range, his screaming all the time gets to me. The 2 hour result show was absolutely fantastic! with Kara doing the duet. Man did Bikini girl look piss when Kara cut short her minute of fame (literally). And Tatiyanna with her over the top performance. I must say that the whole show was super entertaining. Phew what a season! I'll be waiting for season 9 next year! Till then, I think this would prolly be one of my last idol posts for this year Ps: How timely it was that Kris, the dark horse won. I wouldn't say much but to the "Adam Lamberts" in the world ( No i am not referring to Adam Lamberts fans but ppl who get certain privileges over the "Kris's") you can't win all the time! PPS: Sorry if i sound bitter cuz special/preferential treatments is a sore point of mine and there is an on going war with my mom about it at the moment. Also got this huge ass pair of headphones. like literally-huge ass, headphones. boy oh boy is the quality of sound so great with this pair. We also ate at Swensons. Just the three of us. I realised among the older siblings, i entertain Natalia and Nabil the most. hmm, i guess Tasha and Najib are too busy for the two younger ones. So we generally had a great time. Spotted the ang moh guy from the M1 commercial. He is ginormous in real life! lol. Natalia got really excited (don't ask me why) and decided to take a video of him (a little stalker-ish right!). on our way home, we bumped into Anje at Yishun Bus Interchange! can you believe that! how cool! i didnt realise she was walking next to me till i heard her yell my name! hahahaha. OOH ooh did i mention, I skipped NTU's Tea Party. I guess going to the tea party would make me bitter bout not getting into SCI. But oh wells, I honestly am excited bout going to NUS. seriously!
SPOILER ALERT: Grey's Anatomy finale was so so so devastating! George and Izzie died!!! I can't believe the writers did that. I guess they're really leaving the show. George looks so handsome in his uniform. But that being said, everybody looks good in Army uniform. ugh. i hate the ending. They can't do this to us!!!! EPL UPDATE: Man U drew. Just nice for a student i guess at 14.1". It has Dolby Home Theater surround sound. How cool is that! With a nVIDIA graphic card, its good for gaming! I love it! Ok it may not be as cool as some of the other models (ie:Macbook or Vaio) but i love it! (: So till the next update, au revoir!

I think i have a knack for picking Idol winners. Totally knew David Cook was gonna win the moment i saw him during the audition rounds and now kris. hahahah. lets see what happens next year (:

Labels: Results/Uni Monday, May 11, 2009 Y 10:57 PM Have been busy tutoring my youngest brother for the past two days and will continue to do so this week cuz he's having back to back papers this week. [so sorry guys, that means this week is a no no for going out ): ] Anyhoo made time on Sat to meet up with the guys. its true what they say about guys in NS: they talk non-stop bout NS (hahaha) and they drop pounds like nobody's business. Chatting with Jon and HG was nothing short of hilarious. Its funny how we can talk for hours and not get bored. Unfortunately, I had to leave at around 10.45 cuz of my stupid curfew. sucks shit right! yes i know. (its so unfair!)
And I'm so into sewing at the moment. I'm thinking of joining a sewing class. Hmm my long term goal is to do up my own dress! how cool would i be! But I'm taking baby steps at the moment and I'm doing something calling stem stitch. Its awesome i tell you. I can use it to personalise clothes and basically anything that has cloth/fabric. I love it! So when i went to the library yst, i borrowed 2 sewing books and I'm so excited bout starting on my next project. ugh i cant wait for this week to end because then i wouldn't need to teach my lil bro for a month or so. don't get me wrong, i love Nabil but sometimes, scratch that, he's laziness drives me NUTS all the time!!! I just wish he'd be less lazy, he would be so smart. Anyhoo this week will be a boring week ahead cuz i'll prolly be stuck at home teaching him. so till my next update, au revoir! Went to check the Wisma outlet again yst. On the bright side i saw this gorgeous pair of jeans!!! But they didn't have it in my size!!!! it was either too big or too small! ugh! going to Vivo's one to check the stock there. *crosses fingers* that it would still be there! Shopping with Cass yst was cool. bought loads of hair accessories! got 3 headbands, a few hair clips and a hairband. almost bought what i call a "Selena Gomez" hat. Its a floppy beret. i can totally pull it off ok!!! (in fact, i could totally rock the floppy beret look! hehehe (: )
 Anyhoo, I'm so excited! I'm gonna get my own laptop soon!! Get this, so there's a laptop shared among the kids, two PCs and my maid has her own laptop and so does my elder sis. When i get mine there's gonna be what? 6 computers/laptops at home! Hmm, what model should i get? I'll prolly need help from a computer expert like Anje (: Going back to IJ tmr to pick up my testimonial etc etc. Hopefully i don't bump into teachers/ppl that i don't like. AI update: Allison went home today. i like her though. she has spunk and her own style. Plus her duet with Adam was off the hook! (hhahahhaa! cant believe i just said that!) This means that its gonna be an all male finals as i predicted earlier on. For a moment i thought Adam would be getting the boot because they brought Chris Daughtry this week and showed how successful he turned out despite losing the title to Taylor Hicks. (ooh. Tough luck! i was so so so surprised when during the result show a few years back. His expression was hilarious! you can totally tell he was caught off guard. he didn't even bother to fake a smile lah!) But i guess i was glad i was wrong. How totally unfair would it have been if Adam had gone out this week. Soccer update: Go youtube the video of Ballack chasing after the referee in yst's match against Barcelona. It is super funny!
